With no successor at the massive Lawson cattle station, rival gangs in Australia see an opportunity to take control. The series was filmed throughout the Northern Territory and South Australia in locations so remote that they are almost uninhabited – let alone shown on screen. Sites include the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park (with special permission from the traditional owners) and Tipperary Station, a real, working cattle station so big it has its own airfield and school.

There are shows that you start watching. This show is about a family that owns a lot of land on the outskirts of Oz. It could make for a wonderful stage drama.

Earth and her charisma are unfortunately ruined by extremely poor screenwriting

It’s very dramatic, has characters that are borderline caricatures, and has way too many completely unbelievable things going on. When you watch it, you want to be captivated by the story of a family whose characters are deep and complex. They try, but the characters fail to create a family that you interact with.

There is too much crime and drama going on, which is again poorly written

Apparently, people just keep shooting, robbing and abusing each other in the big land. sophomore crime shows that despite some great actors, it doesn’t deserve the high ratings it deserves. I’ll have hope for a second season though if they bring back the drama and violence and let some smart people write.

But that’s it

There is a foundation with scenery and a good layer of actors to build on.
